The Department
The Lending division represents a fundamental growth driver within this organisation. This team manages lending risk appetite while delivering exceptional service to brokers and borrowers through rapid approvals and settlements. You'll collaborate directly with senior credit and risk leadership.
Position Overview
* This position offers direct contribution to organisational growth by guiding customers and brokers through the complete loan lifecycle – from initial enquiry through to successful settlement.
* You'll process loan scenarios, support credit assessment and approval processes, and manage comprehensive customer loan journeys. Success requires meticulous attention to detail, high energy levels, strong responsiveness, and outstanding customer service capabilities.
* Close collaboration with Credit Teams and Business Development Managers will be essential to convert opportunities into approved and settled loans.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Managing broker and borrower relationships throughout the complete loan application process to approval and settlement, centered on exceptional customer service delivery while driving efficient and responsible application processing.
Daily Activities Include:
* Converting lending enquiries into conditional approvals and formal applications – Preparing loan applications according to established checklists and credit requirements
* Achieving role KPIs including activity metrics, leads, applications and settlements
* Conducting required searches aligned with credit policy
* Coordinating and monitoring valuation reports
* Actively managing and advancing lead pipelines
* Analysing lending scenarios and preparing loan submissions
* Proactively engaging customers and brokers regarding applications
* Developing comprehensive understanding of credit policies and product offerings
* Articulating competitive advantages and preferred lender positioning
* Problem-solving and addressing objections, including competitive analysis – Collaborating effectively across BDM, Credit and Operations teams
