The Role
We are looking for skilled HD Fitters to join our team.
Responsibilities
You will utilise a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery, equipment and vehicles to operational standards. You will identify defective and worn mechanical components or equipment, repair or replace any worn or faulty components or equipment and use precision measuring instruments to check parts for accuracy and fit.
What we need from you
Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Mobile Plant Technology or Heavy-Duty Fitter
A minimum of 2 years' experience post completion of Apprenticeship
Adhere to accident and reporting procedures
A valid HR licence
Sound knowledge of Komatsu, CAT, Isuzu, Volvo, John Deere, Hitachi Heavy Plant Machinery/trailers & floats
Sound knowledge of Mack & Kenworth Triple Road Trains
Dedication to maintaining high safety standards within the workshop
White card
Team-oriented mindset and effective communication skills
Pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Good knowledge and practical application of workplace Occupational Health & Safety
Hold a current National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
Additional Advantages
Electronics and air conditioning experience
Experience in use of and operating heavy duty machinery is desirable
