This is a community-based role supporting elderly customers in their own homes. You will travel between clients, work flexibly between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday, and transport customers when required. Every day is different, and you can expect to visit and support multiple customers, assisting them with a range of care and support needs.

• Beerwah
• Landsborough
• Golden Beach
• Caloundra
This role services customers across two territories – Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast region. The position is ideally suited to someone based around Beerwah, Glasshouse Mountains or Landsborough, providing easy access to both areas.
As our Sunshine Coast services are still growing, shifts may be scheduled across both regions to ensure consistent hours. Some days may be based in Caboolture, while others may be on the Sunshine Coast. Our rostering team carefully plans schedules to optimise travel and avoid excessive back-and-forth driving.
Current Sunshine Coast customer locations include Pelican Waters, Diddillibah, Caloundra, Golden Beach, Glasshouse Mountains and Landsborough. Applicants must be comfortable travelling up to approximately 30 minutes between services.
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Personal care – showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Social support and transportation for social activities, shopping and medical appointments
• Domestic assistance – light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring customer wellbeing and reporting on their progress
• Providing updates on customer progress following each service
About you:

• Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships
• Comfortable using technology (mobile apps) for rosters and customer notes
What you will need:
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care or Disability (Essential)
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle
• Smartphone with internet access
• Valid police check (not older than 6 months) or willing to obtain
• COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)
If applicable, you must also be able to complete the recruitment process via our online portal, complete online competencies/eLearning modules, and attend a paid in-person induction day at one of our HCA offices (Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast).
