About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of WebSphere Application Server Environments and z/OS Connect servers. The successful candidate will enable secure REST APIs for mainframe applications, ensuring seamless integration and data conversion.
Responsibilities
* Installation, configuration, and maintenance of WebSphere Application Server Environments and z/OS Connect servers
* Overseeing integration and data conversion issues
* Configuring security, connections, and certificates
* Monitoring performance using tools like Splunk and SMG
* Deploying applications and performing basic JVM tuning
* Troubleshooting connectivity with IBM MQ, DB2, and z/OS
* Applying upgrades, fix packs, and routine maintenance
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need in-depth experience in the following areas:
* z/OS Connect
* IBM Mainframe experience (WebSphere Application Server)
* Unix System Services
* Splunk (highly desirable)
