1st Class Sheet Metal Workers - Oil & Gas
The Joint Venture UGL and Altrad have been awarded a major contract to deliver services on the Woodside-operated Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension (KLE) Program.
This scope includes the planning and execution of critical maintenance and upgrade works, supporting fire protection, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation, mechanical works, pipe spool replacements, access solutions, and electrical services.
The KLE Program is focused on sustaining and enhancing existing gas plant infrastructure, supporting ongoing LNG production through essential maintenance and asset integrity works. For 1st Class Sheet Metal Workers, this involves fabrication, installation, and repair of cladding and insulation systems across live operating plant environments, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of the project.

About you
UAJV are seeking experienced and trade-qualified 1st Class Sheet Metal Workers to join the team for upcoming works at Woodside's Karratha Gas Plant, on a 2:2 FIFO roster. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering cladding and insulation works across a live LNG facility, contributing to critical maintenance and asset integrity scopes.
You will be working within a high-performing team environment where safety, quality, and productivity are paramount. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, and can consistently deliver to a high standard in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
You'll bring:
* You must reside in Perth, WA or locally in Karratha or surrounding areas
* Minimum of 4 years' experience as a 1st Class Sheet Metal Worker; preferable live gas plant exposure or experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable
* Be fully competent in various pattern developments and be able to pass a 1st Class Sheet Metal VOC
* Undertake onsite measurement and fabrication of lobster backs, reducers, dome ends, valve boxes and transition pieces
* IRATA Rope Access Qualification is highly desirable
* Construction White/Blue Card
* The ability to follow procedures and work in a safety conscious manner is essential
* You will be required to complete and pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
* A flexible and adaptable attitude is a must; working with multi disciplines in a high-pressure shutdown environment on the Karratha Gas Plant
