The Administration/Property Officer role provides an essential service supporting the everyday running of Mooroolbark Police Station and Yarra Ranges Police Service Area (PSA). Mooroolbark Police has in excess of 30 staff and are looking for a highly motivated applicant to join our dynamic and supportive administration team to assist with Administration and Property duties. Primary work location is Mooroolbark Police Complex; however, you may be required to attend other stations within the Police Service Area to assist with administration tasks, training and development. Your duties will include: * Process incoming and outgoing briefs of evidence and general correspondence whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality. * Management of various email accounts, records and registers. * Perform data entry, filing, document destruction and archiving tasks. * Attend to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, providing initial information and advice where required. * Receive, record and distribute mail and correspondence. * Undertake a range of functions around the receipt, management and disposal of property and exhibit items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation. * Ordering of stationery, consumables and equipment. * Provide administration support to police and personnel as required. * Assist with answering phone calls About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Proven administrative experience with excellent computer skills to perform a range of administrative tasks including, record management, data entry and word processing tasks. * Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records. * Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently. * Exceptional organisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure. * Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. * You may be requested to assist other team members by working from different police station locations within the Yarra Ranges PSA. * A commitment to upholding the Victoria Police Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and Organisational Values.
