Event Manager Job Description
As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating events across multiple regions. You will manage both physical and virtual events, ensuring smooth planning, execution, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
* Event Planning: Responsible for planning, production, and management of all scales of events.
* Communication: Acts as a key liaison between all parties, including internal/external stakeholders in the event production and management process.
* Logistics: Responsible for all event logistics and coordination.
* Vendor Management: Actively coordinate and liaise with event management vendors (negotiating quotes and agreements).
* Onsite Management: Onsite event management on rehearsal and ensure smooth event proceedings.
* Progress Monitoring: Monitor and update event progress to ensure client satisfaction.
* Reporting: Reporting status to management team for all events.
* Issue Resolution: Resolve and troubleshoot issues that emerge during the event day proactively.
* Documentation: Responsible in preparation of event proceedings, collaterals, briefing notes, duty list, and any documents related to event production.
* SOP Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Event SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in planning and executing events.
* Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements in the planning and execution of events, including adherence to local regulations, venue policies, and organizational standards.
* Post-Event Analysis: Compile post-event results such as attendance, feedback, and analyze trends, and recommend improvements to enhance future events.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
* At least 3-5 years' experience in handling virtual, hybrid or physical events.
* Experience in project management with a track record of successful events.
* Problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinker.
* Excellent communication skills in English (other SEA languages are a plus).
* Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia and work flexible hours, including weekends.
* Experience working within international students placement/study abroad industry is a strong advantage.
* Culturally sensitive and adaptable across different countries.
