About Our School Xavier Catholic College is a co-educational K-12 College operated by Brisbane Catholic Education that commenced in 2003. Location: Xavier Catholic College - Hervey Bay (S)Start date: 21/04/2025Work hours: 4 hours per weekSalary: $50.4447/hr SuperStatus: Part Time ContinuingAd close date: 30 Mar 2025Contact: (07) 4197 1177 About The Opportunity In this position you will be responsible for: Planning, preparing and delivering effective learning programs for students to improve capabilities and understanding in their chosen instrument Assessing and monitoring the progress of students and identify learning areas to provide strategies for students requiring additional learning scaffolding, including students with learning disabilities Delivering and advising on teaching methods, materials, and assessments to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities and provide alternative ways for small groups or individual students to access and demonstrate their understanding of the content Maintaining accurate lesson attendance records and report on student absenteeism, providing insight and feedback to stakeholders Supporting students in preparation for concerts, liturgies, festivals, eisteddfods, music evenings and AMEB / Trinity College examinations Assisting in the creation of student plans and appropriate content Demonstrating open communication and collaboration with key stakeholders including updates on student progress and performance. About You To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments Ability to read and write music notation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience monitoring student progress Development of engaging lesson plans and activities Patience and adaptability to be able to work with students of varying skill levels and learning styles Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) qualification and relevant experience For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
