The Role
We're looking for a Casual Demi Chef to join our friendly, close-knit kitchen team. If you're passionate about fresh, flavoursome Italian food and want to grow in a supportive kitchen environment, this is the perfect opportunity.
You'll work across Julio's restaurant, in-room dining, and events, creating delicious, consistent dishes that leave a lasting impression.
What you'll do
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes aligned with our menu and recipes
- Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special functions
- Support the kitchen team by maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and prep standards
- Work closely with Front of House to deliver smooth, memorable dining experiences
- Assist with deliveries, inventory checks, and reducing food waste
- Mentor junior team members including Commis Chefs, Cooks, and Apprentices
- Perform additional duties as required during busy service periods
What we need from you
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar
- At least 2 years' experience in a kitchen setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexible availability across days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Working understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards
- Legal rights to work in Australia - No sponsorship available
