The School is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Teacher to join the Humanities team. This is a part-time position, commencing Term 1, 2026.
We are seeking a committed and passionate Secondary Teacher specialising in Humanities and Social Sciences to join our Lutheran school community in Hobart, Tasmania, commencing Term 1, 2026. This role involves delivering engaging programs in History, Geography, and Business Studies, grounded in the Australian Curriculum and enriched by a Christian worldview.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging programs in History, Geography, and Business Studies grounded in the Australian Curriculum and enriched by a Christian worldview.
* Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and contemporary pedagogical practice.
* Contribute to the faith life of the school and support the Lutheran ethos through authentic relationships, service, and community engagement.
* Foster students' intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth.
* Work within a supportive environment that values academic excellence, pastoral care, and Christ-centred education.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A recognised teaching qualification
* Teacher registration in Tasmania
* A current Working with Vulnerable People Card (or ability to obtain)
* Police clearance (within the last 12 months)
* Salary will be based on qualifications and experience in accordance with the Eastside Lutheran College Enterprise Agreement 2025.
Commencing
Term 1, 2026 — Part-time Position.
