About the role
Located in Southport is Anglicare's Abri Residential Aged Care Service. Our Maintenance officer will carry out general maintenance functions as appropriate and engage and manage contractors for works authorised by the facility manager overseeing grounds maintenance and enhancement.
About You
- Formal trade qualification or equivalent (desirable)
- Fire Safety Assessment (FSA) accreditation (willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience and ability to perform domestic and general maintenance, including basic painting, plumbing, carpentry, minor repairs to equipment and the maintenance of grounds and gardens.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and follow through on tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles, for the care and safety issues related to tools, equipment, chemicals and electricity.
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current National Police Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Immunisation against Tetanus, and Hepatitis B (or willingness to obtain)
