About the role 
At AGL Bayswater power station, we're seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager for Electrical, Controls and Services to lead internal and external teams in delivering safe, efficient routine and breakdown maintenance. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance & Outages, you'll play a key role in executing asset management strategies, driving a proactive safety culture, managing budgets and contracts, and championing continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Business Support to ensure maintenance efforts align with business goals. 
Key responsibilities 
- Develop and embed a robust HSE culture, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, leading investigations, and driving continuous safety improvements. 
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring plant availability, efficiency, and performance targets are met while managing both internal teams and contractors. 
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth, including managing apprentices and trainees. 
- Take ownership of maintenance budgets across OPEX, CAPEX, and asset lifecycle planning, ensuring cost-effective execution of work. 
- Manage service provider contracts, ensuring compliance with AGL's standards, while driving system improvements and best-practice maintenance in external providers. 
About you 
- Leadership experience in managing maintenance teams in a complex industrial environment. 
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Advanced Diploma, or Trade Qualification with experience in maintenance management. 
- Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance systems, with a focus on reliability and condition monitoring. 
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and external service providers to deliver maintenance programs effectively. 
- Commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. 
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
