Support worker
We are welcoming an energetic, confident & physically fit casual support worker/mentor to join our team, to support an adult with autism living in the northern suburbs. This young man loves to be supported with cooking, gardening, craft activities, music, bikeriding, swimming and other outdoor activities.
Responsibilities & Experience
* Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Knowledge of Restrictive Practices and implementing behaviour therapy plans.
* Experience with community supports.
* Scope for team leading opportunities with the right experience.
Schedule
Required days: Tuesdays 11am-7pm, and sleep shifts on alternate Tuesday, Friday, Saturday night sleep shifts and occasional other nights. Fill in on other days when staff go on leave.
Preference to non restricted International visa status.
Requirements
* Working with Children Check.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* First Aid Certificate.
* CPR Certificate.
* Medication competence.
Job Details
* Job Type: Casual.
* Pay: $38.00 – $42.00 per hour.
