About The Role
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, this role provides high‑level operational and strategic leadership across all aspects of financial management for the North West Hospital and Health Service. You'll work closely with the Executive, Board, and managers to ensure sound financial governance, accountability, and alignment with the organisation's strategic goals.
In This Role, You Will
* Lead and support the finance team to deliver effective financial and management accounting, revenue, and reporting services.
* Provide expert advice on financial performance, budgeting, and business strategy to senior management and the Board.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and government policies.
* Oversee audits, governance processes, and financial controls to ensure accuracy and transparency.
* Partner with service managers to support evidence‑based decisions and sustainable business practices.
* Foster a culture of teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
* Champion a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive workplace that values integrity, diversity, and community connection.
Requirements
* An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business or related field is mandatory for this role and CA/CPA accreditation is desirable.
* Pre‑employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hep B/A and Tuberculosis.
