* Join our team of mobile clinicians as a Speech Pathologist serving adults.
* Conduct dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions for adults in residential aged care and the community.
* This casual position supports residential aged care homes in Townsville, with opportunities to provide services through Plena Speech Pathology's Telehealth Clinic.
* We welcome recent graduates and experienced clinicians to apply.
You will report to your state-based Speech Pathology Team Leader and provide high-quality mobile Speech Pathology services to adults living in residential aged care facilities and the local community.
We support adults with dementia, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke, progressive neurological disorders, and ageing-related decline.
You will have access to extensive resources and internal clinical supervision. Opportunities are available to attend workshops and you will receive $500 to attend professional development programs of your choice.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Managing Your Calendar Of Appointments – We Offer Flexible Working Hours And You Can Choose The Work Schedule That Suits You.
* Assessing And Diagnosing Clients' Swallowing And Communication Difficulties.
* Potential For National Travel To Support Clients In Regional Locations.
* Providing Telehealth-Based Dysphagia And/Or Communication Assessment And Intervention.
* Liaising With Our National Team Of Speech Pathologists.
* Advocating For Support For Clients With Communication Difficulties.
* Working Closely With Organisational Staff, Support Coordinators, And Colleagues To Ensure Optimum Care Needs Are Met.
* Providing Consultative And Educational Support To Clients, Their Families, And Colleagues.
