This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the Head of Quality and Research on some of the sector's most pressing and complex challenges – from workforce and regulation to digital health and the interface with hospitals and disability.

The Position
As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will be working in a small team under the supervision of the Head of Quality & Research. Your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking deep dives into policy issues, bringing fresh insights and evidence-based ideas to complex challenges
* Contributing to policy development through government engagement, research and submissions
* Developing high-quality reports, position statements and submissions that amplify member perspectives and influence decision-makers
* Engaging with stakeholders to identify emerging issues, trends and opportunities
* Representing us in forums, working groups and other key engagements
* Working collaboratively to deliver timely and impactful work on behalf of our members
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need experience in policy, research and/or advocacy in aged care, health, disability or a related field.
You should be confident, curious and strategic, with the ability to challenge thinking constructively and drive meaningful outcomes. You enjoy variety, thrive in fast-moving environments and are motivated by shaping policy that makes a real difference for older Australians.
You will bring:
* A tertiary qualification in social policy, health, research or a related field
* Strong policy engagement skills, including submissions, stakeholder consultation and government relations
* The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery
* A collaborative style and genuine passion for aged care reform and quality outcomes for older Australians
