The Mersey Community Hospital is situated on the North West Coast and provides quality general and specialist healthcare services to the local community.
This position complements other members of the infection prevention and control team, focusing on staff education regarding personal protective equipment and infection control protocols and policies.
The Clinical Nurse Educator maintains a high degree of autonomy, guided by the Assistant Director of Nursing - Education and Research and/or the Executive Director of Nursing/Midwifery.

We need a confident Nurse with excellent clinical skills and an understanding of ongoing education needs within a health facility.
Your communication skills should be top-notch, capable of influencing, inspiring, and delivering clear messages.
You should be able to design, develop, implement, and evaluate education and training programs to support nursing and midwifery staff.
The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Educator works autonomously, guided by senior nursing leaders.
The role involves:
* Developing, implementing, and evaluating infection control education programs.
* Promoting workforce planning in infection control.
* Building capacity for quality improvement activities to address clinical variations.
* Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe, quality patient care in line with IPC policies and legal requirements.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day shift position, working 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible.

The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.
Salary:
$114,851 to $121,886 per annum, with an additional 11.5% superannuation contribution.
* Salary in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Additional allowances may include:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%, based on qualifications.
Salary Packaging:
Options include benefits such as living expenses up to $9,010, $2,650 in meal entertainment annually, and other benefits if eligible.
