The Strategy & Planning team forms a critical part of the Chief Operating Office (COO) in Group Customer Operations (GCO), driving strategic alignment, transformation, and operational excellence across the enterprise.As an Analyst in the Strategy & Planning team, you will be required to support delivery of project workstreams of larger deliverables or drive smaller projects partnering with a range of Business Units across GCO and Westpac more broadly.
You will also support the team with executive-level reporting, quarterly business reviews, and play a critical role in supporting the thought leadership for GCO.In addition to your contribution to Strategy & Planning team, you will also be required to provide ongoing support to the GM Office, assisting with a range of reporting and administrative activities, at the request of the GCO GM's Business Manager and the Executive Assistant.ResponsibilitiesSupport delivery of project workstreams of larger deliverables or drive smaller projects partnering with a range of Business Units across GCO and Westpac more broadly.Support the team with executive-level reporting and quarterly business reviews; play a critical role in supporting the thought leadership for GCO.Provide ongoing support to the GM Office, assisting with a range of reporting and administrative activities at the request of the GCO GM's Business Manager and the Executive Assistant.QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.Prior experience in financial services, strategy consulting or business analysis is highly desirable but not essential.
Recent graduates and junior analysts are encouraged to apply.High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel is essential; familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI and SharePoint) are desirable.Ability to break down complex problems, synthesise data from multiple sources, and derive meaningful insights.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.As part of your application, please also include a cover letter that highlights your relevant experience and demonstrates your suitability for the role.Why join us?
