We are seeking an experienced Underground Geologist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operation, you will play a crucial role in driving optimum ore extraction and contributing to the success of our leading operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking charge of detailed underground geological mapping, both ore and waste, and guiding ore headings with confidence. They will also manage daily production data and ore tracking, providing accurate and on-time reporting to empower key stakeholders to make informed decisions.
To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of one year's experience working in an underground environment and meet the following criteria:
* A minimum of 2-3 years industry experience in mine geology and grade control practices.
* Understanding of geology work standards and practices.
* Experience working within narrow vein gold mining (highly desirable).
* Contractor management and familiarity with mine planning (highly desirable).
* Intermediate skills with modelling software and database software.
* Understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
* Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills.
