About the role
We are seeking experienced Organisational Change Managers to join the Governance, Cyber and Policy branch. These positions provide project-level organisational change management (OCM) support across key strategic initiatives, using an established OCM framework, methods and templates.
Opportunities are available on the following programs/projects:
ETS – Unified Communications (12 months)
Modernising and enhancing telephony services to improve communication capabilities and streamline delivery. Experience with Mitel, TiPT or Microsoft Teams Calling is highly desirable.
ETS – Service Excellence Program (12 months)
Enhancing IT service management (ITSM) processes, frameworks and tools to improve service delivery. Experience with ITSM/ITIL processes and ServiceNow is highly desirable.
EIS – Information Management and Records (Fixed-term to July 2026)
Supporting information management and records training, ensuring compliance with the Public Records Act 2023, and implementing change management for the Content Manager upgrade project.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the planning, implementation and review of organisational change initiatives.
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
* Develop and review change plans covering benefits, communications, readiness, training and business transition.
* Undertake project management tasks as required, including scheduling, risk/issue tracking, deliverable management and reporting.
* Conduct assurance, evaluation and lessons learned activities.
* Represent organisational change strategies in project forums, boards and committees.
* Prepare briefs, reports and policy responses for executive or Ministerial level.
* Contribute up to 15% of time to improving OCM services, capability building and advisory support to smaller projects.
Highly desirable criteria
* Experience leading complex ICT-enabled change in large organisations.
* Experience with ITSM/ITIL processes and ServiceNow.
* Experience with Mitel, TiPT or Microsoft Teams Calling.
* Change management certification from a recognised body (e.g., Prosci).
Desirable criteria
* Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
* Experience developing and delivering training programs.
* Ability to conduct governance, evaluation and lessons learned activities.
* Experience preparing complex briefs and policy responses.
