Our client based in Perth is looking for a Financial Policy Manager for a temporary period. This is a great opportunity to work within a government department.
**Your new role**
During this role you will be required to:
- Lead and manage resources and activities to ensure a timely delivery of financial policy projects
- Manage staffing levels and performance
- Assist the assistant director financial reform and regulation in translating government goals and strategies across a wide range of stakeholder business requirements
- Exemplifies high-level of self-awareness, integrity, and resilience.
- Display commitment to professionalism and personal development, to support the departments values
- Maintain awareness of legislative and policy frameworks applicable to public sector agencies in WA
- Develop, review, implement and manages strategic financial policies and procedures for the department
- Participate in the development and evaluation of strategies for resolving complex issues relating to financial matters
- Consult, engage and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Shares knowledge and work in cohesive partnerships with other finance operational areas
- Undertake any other duties as required
**What you'll need to succeed**
Experience in the similar position required but also:
- Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating financial policy within a large organisation.
- Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, with a proven ability to understand complex financial issues.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to provide leadership and work effectively in a team environment.
