About the role
Join our dedicated team at The Happiness Crew as a Disability Support Worker in Perth, WA. In this full-time or casual role, you will provide compassionate and person-centred care to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independent and fulfilling lives.
What you'll be doing
* Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation
* Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote client wellbeing and community engagement
* Advocate for client needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored support
* Maintain detailed client records and documentation to ensure high-quality care
* Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans
* Promote a safe and inclusive environment that respects the rights, dignity, and choice of each client
What we're looking for
* Relevant qualifications in community services, disability support, or a related field
* Proven experience providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships
* Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to adapt to diverse client needs
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to use your own vehicle for client transportation
* Availability to work weekdays and weekends
