Become a 'Friend of Parks' volunteer in the Glass House Mountains and join the team in assisting local QPWS&P Rangers with a variety of activities that benefit the many different sections of the Glass House Mountains National Park.
These tasks may include:
- manual weed removal
- native revegetation
- rubbish collection
- minor track maintenance
- recording of wildlife sightings, and more
Over time we hope the group develops a connection with the area and continues to gain knowledge and appreciation for this exceptional national park.
As a volunteer, you can expect to:
- make connections with like-minded people and other local environmental groups
- learn about the different ecosystems and identify native and invasive species that exist within the park;
- gain hands-on experience with safe work methods and best practice environmental management techniques.
- enjoy being active outdoors and feel good about helping the environment.
This is a roving volunteer group that can meet at multiple locations around the Beerburrum, Beerwah and Glass House Mountains areas depending on the task.

Our 'Friends of Parks - Glass House Mountains' group unites monthly, on the second Tuesday of each month, from 8-11am.
** Training **
No prior experience necessary. Rangers will provide volunteers with safety inductions and training. All tools, materials and equipment are supplied.
