The Independent Commission Against Corruption (the Commission)is an independent statutory body established to promote integritywithin South Australian public administration. The Commissioninvestigates reports of corruption within public administration andactively prevents corruption by undertaking evaluations of thepractices, policies and procedures of public agencies. TheCommission also delivers education programs which seek to guide theconduct of public officers in the South Australian publicsector.

The Role
The rare opportunity has arisen for an appropriately qualifiedand experienced Executive to join the Commission in this key role.In this critically important position, as Chief Executive Officeryou will provide high-level strategic advice in relation to thefunctions and administration of the Commission, fulfil a pivotalleadership role within the organisation and hold overallresponsibility for the effective operation and management of theCommission.
Reporting directly to the Commissioner, you will lead anexceptional Executive Team and wider workforce of committed,dedicated and motivated people to ensure that the Commissionachieves its statutory functions and organisational prioritiesagainst assessed and managed risks, while working closely with theCommissioner and Executive Team to develop and implement itsstrategic direction, organisational priorities and corporateplans.
While this role will lead human, material and financialresources, it is anticipated that your background in overseeingeach of these areas will likely be complemented by the ability tointerpret and apply legislation, knowledge of the operations ofGovernment and the criminal justice system in Australia andrelevant working knowledge of, or experience with, anti-corruptionor public integrity regimes. While responsibility forinvestigations will remain with the Commissioner, an understandingof investigative processes would be beneficial.
Requirements
To be successful in the role you must possess:
8. Demonstrated success in leading and managing a complex and evolving organisation.
9. Experience in complex business analysis and review and preparation of business documentation.
10. High level interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships and networks, liaise, consult, negotiate, influence and engage stakeholders.
11. Demonstrated ability to think laterally, plan strategically, be innovative and courageous, harness information and opportunities, and demonstrate sound judgment, intelligence and common sense.
12. Ability to empower others and to work collaboratively.
13. Knowledge of, or experience with, anti-corruption or public integrity regimes.
