Verification Validation Engineer SA, Mawson Lakes Test Engineering

Responsibilities
- Help shape and mature a modern, digitally enabled VV environment supporting complex engineering projects and Integrated Product Teams across our Integrated Air and Missile Defence, Maritime and Aeronautics portfolios.
- Deliver incremental system verification for major Defence programs, ensuring quality, compliance and confidence in engineering outcomes.
- Plan, coordinate and execute system‐level test activities that underpin capability assurance.
- Own key VV artefacts including the VV Plan, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM), and Acceptance Test Plans and Procedures.
- Design and document the VV digital thread, ensuring end‐to‐end traceability from requirements to test evidence.
- Plan, manage and execute system‐level verification activities across the engineering lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop a deep understanding of system capabilities, architecture and requirements to inform effective verification strategies.
Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering, integration and VV on complex systems.
- Knowledge of one or more Defence domains: Command Control, Command Support or Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).
- Working knowledge of MBSE practices and tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody, ETM).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum engineering environment.
- An Australian NV‐1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information.
Special Requirements
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information, including citizenship, to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
