About the Job
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of both High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems across multiple defence bases in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HV and LV electrical systems and equipment to prevent any potential disruptions.
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and issues promptly, utilising industry-standard techniques and tools.
* Installing and commissioning new electrical systems, adhering to relevant safety protocols and regulations.
* Collaborating with the EU Supervisor to coordinate tasks and projects effectively.
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to Health and Safety standards and best practices.
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs conducted on electrical systems for future reference.
* Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues as required.
* Participating in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
We are looking for an ideal candidate who has:
* Demonstrated experience working with both HV and LV electrical systems.
* Familiarity with Defence operations and the responsibilities of the Electrical Operating Authority.
* Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults and issues.
* Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation.
* A strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices in an electrical environment.
* Relevant trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* A valid driver's licence.
Candidates must be Australian Citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
