Network Planning Officer

Job Description:
Role Overview:
As a Network Planning Officer, you will be responsible for developing and managing schedules for freight trains, ensuring efficient and safe network operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Create and update operational systems with altered schedules due to public holidays and track occupations.
* Coordinate the creation of train paths for altered services and freight adhoc trains.
* Liaise with various freight operators and network operators to finalise and optimise freight schedules.
* Coordinate with other planners to ensure freight corridor pathing has been maximised.
* Coordinate with internal workgroups to ensure track machines, EV120, and other high rails vehicles are scheduled to operate in a timely manner.
* Produce and publish internal and external timetable documentation.

You must be a proactive and highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail. You should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Requirements:

* Experience in transport planning, preferable experience in TrainPlan, and network rail operation knowledge.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and in tight timeframes.
