Job Opportunity: Carpenter
Job Description
Carpenters are skilled tradespeople responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. They work on building foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and supervising other workers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
* 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
* Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches
* Knowledge of building codes and regulations
* Physical stamina to perform manual labor
