Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator Our client is currently seeking an experienced Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator to play a key role in strengthening and advancing infection prevention practices within a well established healthcare, hospital environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician, nurse who is passionate about patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical governance. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of infection prevention initiatives, ensuring best practice standards are embedded across the organisation and supporting strong clinical outcomes. Working closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide expert guidance, monitor clinical data, and drive continuous improvement in infection prevention and control practices. The Role As the Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the organisation's Infection Prevention and Control Program across the facility. You will provide expert advice and direction to the Executive Team, clinical leaders, and key stakeholders on all areas related to the prevention and management of infection. Your responsibilities will include monitoring infection surveillance data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, supporting education and training initiatives for staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation standards, and Australian guidelines. You will also play an important role in supporting clinical governance frameworks and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. About You To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualifications in Nursing, with postgraduate studies in Infection Prevention and Control or a related discipline highly regarded. Minimum of 3 years' experience within a healthcare setting and demonstrated experience implementing effective infection prevention and control practices. A strong understanding of relevant legislative requirements, Australian standards relating to infection prevention and control, and sterilising services will be important in this role. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clinical teams, leadership, and key stakeholders. The ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data, review clinical outcomes, identify trends, and implement improvement initiatives will be highly valued.
