About The Role
Our recently refurbished Capricornia Correctional Centre is looking for their new Mental Health Team Leader to join this team. This busy role is a great opportunity for a senior-level clinician with team leadership experience, or an experienced senior clinician ready to take the next career step into a leadership role. QCS is undergoing a period of change and expanding their psychology workforce and service model to include social workers and occupational therapists. As Team Leader, you will support the local implementation of the new multi-disciplinary service model while managing and coaching the team through this period of change. This team and the services they provide impact and help shape lives through evidence-based mental health care in an operationally and culturally diverse environment, to improve rehabilitative outcomes and reduce recidivism. Your clinical and team leadership are key to ensuring delivery of critical mental health services, including complex case management, are of a high quality and comply with QCS protocols. Building partnerships and stakeholder relationships is integral to this role and will require your excellent interpersonal and engagement strengths, which you will also use to provide professional supervision to the team members who have varying levels of experience. About You
* Advanced level, demonstrated experience providing clinical services of a complex nature including assessments and interventions
* Able to provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced clinicians
* Use your high‐calibre interpersonal and communication skills to build effective and trusted relationships within and across teams, and with stakeholders
* Thorough understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities and professional accountabilities of your discipline
* Highly developed written communication skills with the ability to produce excellent quality professional reports and case notes
* Team leadership and management including knowledge of and ability to implement human resources practices
* Strong time management, organisational and planning strengths to pre-empt service delivery and emerging priorities for team management
Mandatory Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and membership with APHRA; or
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Social Work, with eligibility for membership or registration with AHPRA and/or AASW (discipline specific);
* C Class Driver's Licence; and
* Post‐graduate qualifications in mental health would be highly regarded.
