About the Role:
As a Calibration Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the technical operations of the business by ensuring the accurate calibration, testing, and maintenance of medical and diagnostic equipment. This position is essential to maintaining the reliability and compliance of equipment used by healthcare providers, directly contributing to safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Through your technical expertise and attention to detail, you will support the delivery of dependable healthcare solutions across a range of clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform calibration, testing, and adjustment of customer diagnostic and medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer standards and specifications.
● Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on high-end diagnostic, dialysis, and medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
● Carry out routine inspections and functional checks to confirm equipment accuracy, safety, and compliance with technical requirements.
● Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports and documentation related to calibrations, repairs, testing outcomes, and corrective actions.
● Perform mathematical calculations and technical measurements to verify equipment performance against manufacturer calibration tolerances.
● Liaise with customers in person, by phone, and via email to understand technical requirements and explain calibration and repair outcomes.
● Monitor equipment usage and ensure availability of calibration tools, spare parts, and consumables required for ongoing service activities.
● Support the maintenance of quality assurance and safety standards when handling, testing, and repairing medical equipment.
● Apply knowledge gained from manufacturer training to ensure equipment is serviced and calibrated to approved technical standards.
