Process Technician (Multiple Roles Available)
Victory Minerals Pty Ltd is a leading gold explorer and producer based in Victoria's gold belt. We operate a high-grade underground gold mine and surface processing plant in Ballarat that has been consistently producing 30,000 to 40,000 ounces of gold annually since 2005.
We have an opportunity for Process Technicians to join our team, based in Ballarat. This role is initially based on a 4:3 roster (4-day shifts, 3 off, 3-night shifts, 4 off) with a shift duration of 12 hrs, transitioning to a 7:7 roster in the future.
This is a hands-on position, emphasizing safety, good communication, and operating a range of mineral extraction processes including Crushing, Screening, Gravity, Flotation, Gold Leaching, Tailings, Water Circuit, and Reagent Mixing.
Responsibilities:
Operate the plant and optimize plant performance within established operating parameters.
Report any faults or problems to the maintenance team and assist with maintenance activities as required.
Undertake first-level maintenance on equipment.
Properly record all operating data and log relevant information.
Undertake sampling and interpret assay results to optimize plant performance.
Assist the plant metallurgist to test, trial, and improve plant performance.
Perform troubleshooting to help identify and resolve production issues.
Operate Loader, Telehandler, EWP, and Forklift in accordance with achieved competencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Mandatory:
* Strong focus on safety
* Australian Driver's license (manual)
* Reside within a 30-minute proximity to Ballarat
Highly Desirable:
* Experience in mineral processing plants or crushing & screening circuits
* Applicants with experience in other heavy industries are also encouraged to apply
* Mechanical Trade background
* Equipment competencies/tickets – loader, forklift, EWP, telehandler, crane, etc.
