Job Description:
The Townsville Hospital and Health Service seeks a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Paediatric Cardiology team at the Townsville University Hospital. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical leadership, expertise, and education in Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents.
As part of this role, you will co-ordinate and participate in RHD clinics, transition clinics, outreach to Palm Island and other rural sites, ensuring seamless care coordination for all patients.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders across primary, secondary, tertiary settings, and non-government agencies to support evidence-based clinical care delivery, aligning with the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rheumatic Heart Disease Action Plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position.
* Appointment requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
