THM Electrical & Communications – Perth WA
The successful applicant will be responsible for installation, splicing, testing and commissioning of fibre optic networks across a variety of environments including metropolitan infrastructure and remote regional projects. Travel to regional WA will be required.
What you'll be doing
* Performing installations, maintenance, and repairs on fibre optic cabling and equipment
* Testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with fibre optic systems
* Interpreting technical diagrams and schematics to guide your work
* Collaborating with project managers and other technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
* Maintaining accurate documentation and records of all work performed
* Adhering to all safety protocols and industry regulations
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a fibre optic technician
* Formal qualifications in telecommunications, electrical, or a related technical field
* Proficiency in fibre optic splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues
* A commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail
* Ability to work in both Perth metro and regional locations
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Construction Industry White Card
* Strong understanding of telecommunications installation standards
Highly Desirable
* Experience working on Telstra and/or Optus networks
* Experience with long haul and access network fibre
* Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
* First Aid certification
