As a Food Service Assistant, you will support the hospital's food service operations, ensuring that patient meal requirements are delivered safely and professionally.
Responsibilities
* Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly.
* Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays.
* Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils, including dish and pot washing as required.
* Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, promoting a professional and positive team culture.
* Provide high standard of customer service.
* Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience in a hospital hospitality setting (desirable).
* Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable).
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
* Commitment to service excellence.
* Strong communication and customer skills.
* Work well independently and within a team.
* Flexibility: ability to work early/late shifts and weekend work.
* Availability for on-call shifts.
* Current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable) and evidence of right to work in Australia required prior to appointment.
