About The Role

In this role, you'll assist with the day‐to‐day operation of our information and records management systems, provide guidance to staff, and help maintain the integrity and accessibility of our corporate information. This role offers the opportunity to shape information management practices across a large and complex organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Effectively operate councils information management functions including the council's EDRMS and other corporate information systems with emphasis on data quality, regular audits in compliance with the Public Records Act 2023, legislation and council procedures.
* Provide resolution and advice to general enquiries, IT Level 1 support and advice to council officers on records management and EDRMS functions.
* Assist in developing and regularly reviewing council's EDRMs and other systems, eLearning modules, reference guides, articles for staff communication campaigns and deliver face‐to‐face training to strengthen the organisation's Record Keeping and Information Management practices, culture, and capabilities.
* Prepare records for transfer or retrieval at council's Records Storage Facility and Queensland State Archives and assist with the destruction process.
* Assist the Information Management Team Leader to develop, implement and review the Information Management Disaster Recovery Plan, and other projects that strengthen the Record Keeping and Information Management practices, culture, and capabilities of the council.
* Build proactive and collaborative working relationships with team members and internal stakeholders.
* Actively participate in cross‐training and performance of skills (including Corporate Mail functions), knowledge sharing and contributing to discussions around emerging issues and trends, and act as a positive change agent within the team by promoting continuous improvement.
About You

To be successful in this role you will have relevant experience in the information management industry with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.

You Will Bring
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Confidence working with digital systems and processes.
* Ability to interpret and apply records legislation, standards and retention/disposal schedules to ensure compliance and best practice.
* Experience using EDRMS to capture, classify, store, retrieve and track information, with the ability to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support system improvements.
* High level accuracy in registering, indexing, quality‐checking and auditing records, with the ability to follow procedures, identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity across information repositories.
* Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to provide professional advice, support end users, deliver training or guidance, and promote good record‐keeping practices while maintaining confidentiality.
* Ability to analyse information issues, recommend practical solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and escalate matters appropriately while working within established frameworks and processes.
* Sound understanding of information security, confidentiality requirements, and the sensitivity of council information, with the ability to work collaboratively within a small team and contribute to continuous improvement across information workflows.

This is a permanent, full‐time position with a salary commencing at $85,007 plus superannuation of 12.5%.
