The Company
This established and growing food manufacturing business supplies high-quality products to customers across Australia and international markets. Operating within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, they are known for their strong focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement. Due to ongoing growth, they are now looking to expand their Quality team with the addition of a Quality Assurance Technician at their Carole Park site.
The Role
In this role you will be provided with ongoing training, so this role would be suitable for someone stepping up into a QA role for the first time. You will be responsible for supporting quality assurance activities across the production floor, ensuring all products meet strict customer and compliance standards. You will carry out regular testing, GMP checks and inspections, while assisting with investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong eye for detail who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider production and quality team. The position operates on an early morning shift (3:00am - 11:00am), Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
Duties
* Conduct product quality testing in line with specifications
* Assist with investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints
* Complete GMP walks and pre-operational checks across the production floor
* Carry out temperature checks and equipment calibration
* Accurately record and maintain quality data and reports
* Submit product samples to external laboratories
* Verify and reconcile product labelling, including export requirements
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure compliance and quality standards are met
Requirements
* Experience in a quality assurance or quality control role
* Background in food manufacturing
* Reliable transport to accommodate early morning start times
* Full working rights in Australia
