About the Role The Operations & Administration Assistant plays an essential support role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Top End office run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the needs of staff, programs, and community. Responsibilities include administrative tasks, logistical support, managing supplies and documentation, and fostering a safe, welcoming office environment. The role may involve mentoring junior staff and requires good planning, organizational, and communication skills.
About You You are a First Nations person who is a team player, organized, practical, and enjoys helping others. You are friendly, respectful, and comfortable working in a diverse environment, especially with First Nations communities. You are confident with computers and office software, attentive to detail, proactive, and eager to learn. This is a part-time role, requiring four hours of work per day, Monday to Friday.
Essential Criteria Respect for cultural protocols and understanding of working in First Nations communities Friendly, welcoming approach to supporting staff and community visitors Strong communication skills Well-organized with effective time management Attention to detail across multiple tasks Ability to work independently and take initiative Motivated and willing to learn Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital platforms Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and obtain NT OCHRE Card (Working with Children Check) A C Class Driver's License Additional Information Position level: Entry level
