Based at Wallsend Health Campus, this role is integral to ensuring quality safe patient care is provided across a range of services including the Transitional Aged Care Program, Community Dementia Nurse team and Dementia Advisory ServiceAs the primary interface between senior managers of the service and front-line staff you will be required to support two-way communication through the organisational hierarchy, oversee the day-to-day management of the community service, and work closely with other Nurse Managers, Nurse Unit Managers, multidisciplinary teams and the Director of Nursing.About The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Manager with the ability to: lead, direct and co-ordinate client care; ensure the practice of nursing is safe and efficient, maintaining standards of care through continual quality improvement initiatives; lead and coordinate the nursing and multidisciplinary care team, and monitor and manage the business and management functions and processes of the service. As the leader the Nurse Manager will demonstrate her/his capability through attitude, skills, behaviour and attributes, namely: broad nursing experience and knowledge; understanding and acceptance that clients are the central focus of service delivery; professional integrity; ethical conduct; accountability; advocacy; enabling others; cultivation of collaborative relationships and effective teamwork; commitment to advancing the profession of nursing and care provision.About YouThe successful applicant will be a highly motivated, empathetic, capable, and enthusiastic individual who has great leadership qualities to ensure service provision is of a high standard.
