About the Role
The Senior Fund Accountant plays a vital role in delivering accurate and timely fund accounting services, with a strong focus on unit pricing and reporting activities.
This position requires a subject matter expert who can work effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate excellent client delivery.
* Key Responsibilities
* Deliver accurate unit prices and reports in accordance with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Review and approve unit prices, exception reports, and other client reports generated by offshore teams for client delivery.
* Ensure client instructions for fee processing, cash management, and rebalancing do not impact unit prices.
* Main point of contact for client queries and liaison with Registry on unit reconciliation differences.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve reconciliation differences and identify areas for improvement.
* Maintain consistency across client reporting, ensuring unit pricing and accounting packs align.
* Ensure controls are maintained at all times and procedures are followed.
Requirements for Success
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a custodian or similar fund accounting role with unit pricing experience.
* Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of fund accounting, unit pricing, reporting, and tax-related operational risk and compliance requirements.
* Ability to provide practical and commercial solutions in problem-solving.
* An inquisitive mindset, good time management skills, and ability to meet critical deadlines.
* Demonstrated quality focus, ensuring reports and query resolutions meet departmental or client SLAs.
* Customer-focused work ethic, with the ability to think creatively and enhance the service provided.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with colleagues across various teams.
* Ability to question or escalate issues for resolution, ensuring compliance standards are met.
