About the opportunity
The Clinical Nurse (Scrub/Scout Facilitator) actively guides, mentors and provides support to operating theatre graduate nurses, students and new staff. The facilitator will work collaboratively with the Perioperative Nurse Educator to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The facilitator will actively participate in the Graduate Nurse training program and subsequent projects.

The Townsville University Operating Theatre has 15 operating theatres including a Hybrid Operating Theatre. The service offers Level 5 - 6 CSCF v3.1 within the following disciplines.

Salary range: $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (NG6-1)
6 weeks annual leave with 14% loading

Requirements:
Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
