About the Role
Northern Star Resources is looking for a Trainee Process Technician to join our Jundee Operation. This role is a full‑time, 8:6 dayshift roster based in Perth, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in process sampling, metallurgical monitoring and gold recovery.
Responsibilities
* Conduct routine process sampling under supervision (conveyors, leach tanks, cyclones and related circuits) to support grade control and metallurgical monitoring.
* Assist gold room personnel during elution activities while maintaining strict adherence to security, safety and procedural controls.
* Support the safe and efficient operation of the process plant within predetermined process parameters and control limits.
* Ensure effective recovery of gold from ore processed while minimising costs (reagents, diesel, etc.).
* Compile production data as required.
* Monitor the process with sampling procedures to ensure targeted metallurgical recoveries are being met.
* Assist with routine tailings management and discharge operations under supervision, including inspections, housekeeping, monitoring discharge lines and deposition areas, and reporting abnormal conditions or non‑conforming discharge.
Qualifications and Experience
* St John's Senior First Aid certification highly desirable.
* Ability to work unsupervised once required competency is attained.
* Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent numeracy and communication skills (written and verbal).
* High attention to detail with the ability to plan daily activities and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
* Adaptability and a strong willingness to learn and improve.
