Heavy Equipment Maintenance Professional
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Heavy Duty Fitters to take on a challenging role in mobile maintenance. We are looking for skilled individuals who can perform preventative and scheduled maintenance, as well as breakdown repairs, on surface and underground equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of mobile equipment to minimize downtime and loss of production.
The ideal candidate will have Australian recognized trade qualification in heavy mechanical engineering, experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground or surface environment, and knowledge of mining technologies and equipment.
We also require the ability to communicate effectively with team members, manage maintenance orders, and requisition parts and materials efficiently.
As part of our commitment to ongoing training and development, you will be involved in mentoring apprentices and trainees, supervising contractors, and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of mobile equipment.
* Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise, and practical application to minimize downtime and subsequent loss of production.
* Assist with ongoing training and mentoring of apprentices and trainees and supervising of contractors.
* Requisitioning of parts and materials and processing of maintenance orders.
Requirements:
* Australian recognized Heavy Mechanical Trade Qualification.
* Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground or surface environment and knowledge of mining technologies and equipment.
* Experience with Atlas M7C, E7C & E70S drills and MT6020 and MT65 trucks is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
