About The RoleThe purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, evidence based, discipline specific clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions to adolescents and young adults presenting with first episode psychosis, their families, and their carers.About YouOur ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:High level knowledge, expertise and skills in managing an allocated workload to deliver discipline specific services, including assessment, intervention and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, policies and procedures, utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards incorporating knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and other relevant legislations.Ability to liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with consumers and their carers, other health professionals, students, and external agencies to achieve a consumer centred approach, utilising negotiation, and conflict resolution skills as required.Ability to provide high level general and profession specific clinical advice to clinical leaders, team leaders and other multidisciplinary team members within the service, and to external community-based providers supporting consumer care.Ability to continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in the performance appraisal and development plans.Experience in the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality and service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of discipline specific services.Mandatory RequirementsVaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16About West Moreton HealthWest Moreton Health is one of the most rapidly evolving health services in the south east corner, with a community growth expected to almost double to more than 588,000 by 2036.
