 
        
        About the Company/Role Our client is an Australian technology company focused on the commercialisation of innovative laser enrichment technologies for applications including Uranium enrichment, Silicon enrichment and medical isotope enrichment. 
The Lead Electronics Engineer is responsible for directing, supporting, and working with the electronics and controls team in the development, design, engineering analysis, and compliance validation of bespoke control systems and plant equipment. 
Responsibilities Consult with the senior technical team regarding engineering and technical decisions 
Provide technical advice to the Project Managers on resourcing, scheduling, and budgeting 
Reporting on the progress of assigned projects - potential electrical and control system risks and delays, and risk mitigation strategies 
Develop and implement new engineering design initiatives required to support emerging research and development activities undertaken by the Company 
Conduct engineering assessment, compliance validation, and sign-off on regulated in-house built and procured equipment 
Focus on continued engineering development and scaling of the company’s current and future technologies 
Manage activities with electronics contractors and external workshops 
Manage the electrical and controls designs of the Commercial Plant Laser System equipment and associated systems - documentation, output management, QA/QC processes, engineering design approval, and engineering design control 
Manage the compliance of the Commercial Plant Laser System equipment – Technology Readiness Level & Manufacturing Readiness Level of the systems for commercial plant implementation 
Implement and manage the controls and electrical engineering, compliance, and fabrication plan 
Under the direction of the Project Manager, manage the electronics and controls engineering team in the construction of equipment in accordance with approved designs 
Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or related discipline 
Australian Citizenship required 
Experience in a comparable technical/engineering role with project management knowledge 
Experience in the design and manufacturing of industrial controls and their standards and compliance 
Experience in electrical and control system compliance, industrial control panel design, Power electronics design and circuit simulation 
Experience in the implementation of engineering design and validation processes and systems 
Excellent written and oral communication skills with a collaborative working style 
Ability to identify and execute key project tasks through to completion with continuous improvement focus 
Commercially astute with the ability to identify technical and resourcing risks and implement mitigation methods
