Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for a new opportunity to make an impact? This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our Tweed office. We envision that the ideal fit for this role would be someone who's a team player, self-motivated and ready to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:
* Conducting structural analysis and design for a wide range of temporary works projects.
* Assisting in the development of construction methodology and erection sequence for structures.
* Undertaking detailed structural design of temporary works and determining associated impacts on permanent works.
* Producing structural mark-ups suitable for issue to clients and for use of the internal drafting team.
* Assisting the project team to produce schematic, preliminary, tender & construction documentation submissions.
* Conduct design analyses using accepted conventional methods and the Company's software programs.
* Provide technical support to Graduate Structural Engineers and the Structural Drafting team.
* Assist with the company Quality Assurance procedures including technical reviews of project documents.
* Participate in the construction phases of projects including undertaking site inspections, approval of shop drawings, assessment of financial claims and variations and undertaking defect inspections.
* Attend weekly internal resourcing meetings and assist with project planning and resourcing.
* Collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
* Responding to workshop & construction site queries.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
* 3 - 5+ years of Structural Engineering design experience on a diverse range of temporary structures.
* CPEng qualified (or desire to achieve Chartered status).
* Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia.
* High level of proficiency in steel and reinforced concrete design.
* Experience producing detailed engineering sketches and drawings.
* Australian design experience, including an extensive knowledge of AU Standards.
* Solid understanding of software packages, including but not limited to Space Gass, Structural Toolkit, Bluebeam, Hilti Profis and RAM Concept.
* Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design.
* The ability to work independently and mentor junior Engineers.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members.
