Healthcare Australia is delighted to partner with Nepean Private Hospital to recruit their new Theatre Floor Coordinator.

As a Floor Coordinator, you will be responsible for the workflow coordination of the shift, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of operating lists and labour management. This is a key role in supporting the strategic direction of the department to both internal and external customers.

Established in 2000, Nepean Private Hospital is in Penrith, the hospital is a modern 109-bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community including orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography, and obstetrics. With ten operating Theatres and one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre supported by a critical care unit that includes intensive care.

Exciting times ahead for Nepean Private Hospital with a $38M redevelopment which will see the hospital grow to meet the needs of the growing community with 4 new operating theatres, having recently purchased a new $3.5Million Da Vinci Robot to expand their complex surgery program. A purpose-built pre-admission area, new sterilising department, a new foyer as well as retail space, new consulting suites, a refurbished main entry, and a new car park. Nepean Private Hospital has established an excellent reputation in the community for its high commitment to customer service, staff satisfaction, and quality improvement.

**As the Operating Theatre Floor Coordinator, your responsibilities will include**:

- Oversee safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
- Support and liaise with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Perioperative department and wards
- Ensure all theatres are staffed appropriately and cost-efficient
- Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN, and sterilization standards
- Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

**Essential Criteria**:

- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Registered Nurse with at least 2 years’ experience in perioperative settings
- Postgraduate certificate in perioperative nursing or equivalent (desirable)
- Excellent working knowledge of ACQSHC National standards
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range ofdiverse stakeholders
- Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
- Understand the requirements of private health funding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office and various databases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
