Brunel is partnering with a leading player in the energy sector to recruit an experienced professional for spearheading the growth of onshore wind projects in Australia.
About this Role
* Lead wind projects from mid-stage to financial close, focusing on planning, environmental aspects, resource assessment, grid connection, and design and procurement.
* Develop and implement strategies and risk matrices for project delivery.
* Interface with partners and stakeholders throughout the project development phase.
* Assess utility-scale renewable generation opportunities, focusing on wind energy.
* Manage primary and secondary consents to ensure project approvals.
* Build and maintain relationships with landholders and engage with local communities.
* Contract and oversee external consultants for critical development areas.
* Support the broader decarbonisation strategy of the organization.
About You
* Experience in wind farm development or related fields (wind engineering, statutory planning, environmental planning).
* Demonstrated ability in wind project delivery, including securing approvals and managing stakeholder relationships.
* Skilled in managing budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
* Familiarity with the energy markets in Australia.
* Relevant academic qualification (e.g., engineering, finance, environmental studies, planning).
* Excellent communication skills.
* Drive and ambition to lead renewable growth and energy transition.
