About this role:

The Officer, Fees, Scholarships and Financial Assistance supports the administration of fees, HELP schemes, scholarships, student payments, loans and grants, while responding to student enquiries in line with Government and University requirements. The Officer, Fees, Scholarships and Financial Assistance also monitors and updates the fees, Scholarships and Financial Assistance website, and attend Deakin University events, such as Open Days.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Scholarships and Financial Assistance, the role works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support effective service delivery.

As an Officer, Fees, Scholarships and Financial Assistance you will:

* Provide accurate advice and support to students on fees, scholarships, and available financial assistance options, ensuring informed decision‐making.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Government, community, and University programs (including HELP schemes) to effectively guide students to relevant support services.
* Deliver high-quality administrative support, including processing student requests, managing financial transactions, and responding to enquiries within agreed service standards.
* Review and update student records in line with University policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting process enhancements, governance requirements, and the effective delivery of student services.

To be successful, you'll have:

* Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
* Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
* An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures.
* Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone, and written issue
* Experience providing services and support in a large organisation
