The Role
We are seeking an Inspection Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting inspections of residential and commercial buildings to identify defects, non-compliance issues, and structural failures.
* Documenting inspections with detailed notes and photographs.
* Utilizing Structerre's pre-developed systems and processes to ensure onsite efficiencies.
* Preparing clear, concise, and fact-based reports outlining findings and recommendations.
* Maintaining accurate time tracking, billing records, and project documentation.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related field).
* Experience in investigations, building inspections, or defect assessment.
* Alternatively, a practical-minded individual with a minimum of 4 years' experience in custom residential design.
* Self-motivation and the ability to complete work with minimal oversight.
* Knowledge of Australian Building Codes, Standards, and construction practices, specifically for residential construction.
* Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, insurers, and legal professionals.
* A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site inspections.
